| Donations and Allocations |

Net income from operations is used to support the campuses we serve. Aztec Shops allocates a portion of its earnings at the end of each fiscal year to San Diego State University and SDSU Associated Students, which then use the funds to provide additional campus community services. Other donations are distributed throughout the year to campus groups, clubs, organizations and the athletic department.
Aztec Shops has funded several large SDSU campus capital improvements in recent years, including: $2 million in furniture, fixtures and equipment for dining services at the Cuicacalli Suites residence halls, $5 million for a complete renovation of East Commons and $1 million for renovation of Storm & Nasatir Halls. Income from operations has also funded renovation and improvement of facilities at Grossmont College and Cuyamaca College.
In addition to contributions of financial support, the corporation encourages its staff to participate in various campus administrative boards and committees.
